A day at the park

A nice outing to the library and adjacent park. I had thought I might try to take some Christmas card pics, but someone is looking decidedly summery after a last-minute outfit change.

Uncle Buck

We had a most unusual visitor today! We were sitting at the kitchen table, and right out the back door, between our fence and the neighbors' house... this guy! He went out front, then came out back... he was badly injured, front and rear right legs. A posse of neighbors managed to get him into the woods behind our houses because he kept getting stuck between fences and injuring himself more trying to jump them.

(He looks fake here, no? I don't know what was up with his mouth.)

I think I was more sad/worried about him than Isabelle. She wanted to know where its mama was and why it was walking on the road. Then she suggested that maybe a bear would come along and... give it a ride on its back.

Big Helper

Isabelle was talking to Lucia in "Spanish" during this whole episode; the only words I could pick out were "No, mi amore... mi amore, no." She makes me laugh. ; )

Muscles

Aunt Kate had brought this summer onesie home from Costa Rica, either for Belle or Lucia when they were babies. It's size 6-9 months, or something ridiculously small. Belle found it and squeezed into it... complete with snaps. If nothing else, it makes her look ripped!

Splish splash!

Dodi and the bubble bath came to town last week!

Just chillin'

The bottom of the fridge has long been Lulu's favorite place to sit. If she hears the fridge open, she's there, not so much to eat as to... chill. Lately, she's found it's even more fun if she empties out the door shelves, chucking salad dressing and whatever else she can reach.

Marker Madness

Lucia had her 15 month check-up yesterday (24.4lbs, 75%) and received 4 shots in her little thighs, which left her feverish and cranky today. After dinner Isabelle was coloring with markers and Lucia wanted to sit at the table too. So I had her on my lap while I was helping Bellie. She was so fussy that I didn't mind if she held a marker or two. I didn't realize what she was doing with them until the third or fourth one. She was happy anyway!
