10 months old!
It's a little concerning that our Lulu is 10 months old already! She is growing up way too fast. In the past month she has started crawling, cruising around furniture, and babbling up a storm (and I'm happy that one of her favorite sounds/words is Mama). She has six teeth (four top, two bottom) that she likes to show off in her happy little grin. For her birthday today we took her for her first outdoor swim (and subjected her to many photo shoots).
Dancing Queen

Saturday morning fun
This started as a little time outside blowing bubbles and drawing with chalk. Introduce a bucket of water and...
...voila! We now have body paint!
Which is also fun to dance in.
And makes a decent face paint.
Lucia was happy to just sit back and munch on some O's.
Isabelle's new treat
Isabelle's new favorite treat is popcorn. This series is from the first night we popped some.
(Note the outfit in addition to the headphones: 3-month onesie, ballet skirt, Elmo undies. This kid has a style all her own.)

Las fresas
Isabelle is learning about las frutas this week, including las fresas. She and I picked about five pounds on Mother's Day and she enjoyed them as much in the field as at home!
(Oh, and of course, she is wearing Lucia's shirt. That's why her belly's hanging out.)
Happy Mother's Day!
These pics are actually from our Anniversary beach trip, but they kicked off a great Mother's Day weekend - and we know that Gigi and Gramma will enjoy! Isabelle had a blast in the sound, even though the water wasn't exactly warm. Swim lessons are in her immediate future after she "forgot" that she can't just swim like a fish!
9 month check-up
Little Lulu had her check-up this week and is happy and healthy. She's 20.6 lbs (75th%) and 28.7 in (75th%). Apparently 75th% for weight isn't good enough when you've previously been 95th%, even if you've grown, so we have to give her more milk (ouch!!!) and take her back for a weigh-in in 6 weeks. Seems crazy!
Lulu was all smiles until the nurse pricked her finger and squeezed... and squeezed... and squeezed to get two little tubes of blood. After that, it wasn't too much fun for either of us.

9 months old!
Pics to come, but wanted to post some of Lulu's recent laughter. She's been cutting her top two front teeth for about the last six weeks, and has turned into a little nursing vampire. This weekend, I admonished her, "No biting on the boobie!" during one painful nursing session, and she broke out in laughter that continued for a good five minutes.
